Previously named <\/span>Lights, Camera, Author!<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>The Junot Files<\/span><\/i> is hosted by Jim Junot and features interviews with authors talking about books they\u2019ve written about celebrities, actors, actresses, Hollywood, and TV. Some of the featured authors are actors or celebrities themselves, including singer\/actress Olivia Newton-John.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because the concept of the show is unusual and highly niched, the name change doesn\u2019t make a whole lot of sense\u2026 and while the content is going to be interesting to a certain subset of people, unless there\u2019s a legal or other logical reason why the name was changed, it seems counterproductive after nearly 100 episodes with the name <\/span>Lights, Camera, Author! <\/span><\/i>
\n<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Other issues with the show include a lack of consistency in the show opening\u2014sometimes, there\u2019s music, but not the same music, and sometimes, the host just jumps right on. Production quality on some episodes isn\u2019t great. Also, episode lengths are all over the place, making it difficult for anyone who might be interested in tuning in to plan their listening time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re interested in listening to the author of <\/span>Bombshell: The Night Bobby Kennedy Killed Marilyn Monroe<\/span><\/i>, or the co-author of <\/span>Joan Crawford: The Essential Biography<\/span><\/i>, then you might get something out of this show. Otherwise, it\u2019s best perhaps to leave <\/span>The Junot Files<\/span><\/i> in the filing cabinet. Despite it having zero reviews\/ratings, my 2.5 stars lands it in the \u201coverrated\u201d category.<\/span><\/p>\n
